Three men have been arrested in the North in connection with dissident republican activity.

Two of those arrested - aged 41 and 54 - were detained in the Newry area, while a third man (44) was arrested in south Armagh.

All three are being questioned at the Serious Crime Suite in Antrim.

The arrests are part of the same investigation that saw the arrest of 12 people in the Ardcarn Park area of Newry on November 10th.

Seven of those men were charged with various terrorism offences and have since appeared in court.
