Gardaí have arrested three men after shots were fired at a house in Co Kildare.
It happened on Monday night in the White Castle Lawns area of Athy.
At around 10:15pm a man aged in his late 40s heard a loud bang and discovered damage to his front door.
He was the only person in the house at the time.
Gardaí attended the scene and found bullet casings.
A technical examination of the scene has been carried out.
No injuries were sustained as a result of this incident.
But three men - two aged in their 20s and one in his late teens - have been arrested.
They are being held under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act at Garda stations in Kildare.

They say investigations are ongoing.
