Three men in their late teens and early 20s are due to appear before Tallaght District Court this morning, following a robbery at a house in Dunlavin, Co Wicklow yesterday afternoon.
The three were arrested after the owner of the house returned at around 2 O'clock yesterday afternoon to answer an alarm activation, disturbing a number of intruders who fled the scene.
Gardaí from Baltinglass called in help from the garda air support unit and launched a follow-up operation, which led to the arrest of four men a short distance away. The men are all aged in their late teens and early 20s. One of the men has since been released without charge, the other three are being held at Bray garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
A file on the fourth man will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
A shotgun and a small amount of cash taken during the incident was recovered.
