Three men have been seriously injured in a car crash on the M9 in Kilkenny yesterday evening.
The driver and passenger of one car, both of whom are men in their 30s, were taken to Waterford University Hospital in a critical condition.
The driver of the second car, a man in his 20s, is also in hospital, where he is being treated for serious injuries.
The M9 between Junction 8 and Junction 9 Southbound remains shut ahead of an inspection by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
Gardaí have appealed for any witnesses to contact them and are particularly interested in talking to anyone with dash cam footage.
