Three men aged from their mid-20s to mid-40s have been hospitalised following a series of assaults in Stoneybatter, County Dublin.
Two of the men are receiving treatment for serious but not life-threatening injuries, with the third man's injuries being less serious.
A man in his late 20s was intercepted and detained close to the scene of the incident.
He has since been arrested and is being held at a Garda station in the North City.

A number of scenes were preserved in the Stoneybatter area and technical examinations have been conducted.
All traffic restrictions have been lifted and Gardaí have said investigations are continuing.
Any witnesses to the incident, particularly those with video footage from between 2.30pm and 3.30pm, should contact local Gardaí.
