Three men accused of the ‘savage’ murder of Tristan Sherry at a Blanchardstown steakhouse last Christmas Eve have gone on trial.

Three other men are charged with violent disorder at the Special Criminal Court trial.

The court today heard that a man called Jason Hennessy Senior had settled in for dinner with a number of others on the night of the attack.

He was holding a toddler when a hooded Tristan Sherry arrived with a gun.

He had an altercation with Mr Hennessy, shot him and within seconds was tackled to the ground.

Tristan Sherry was disarmed and he was attacked by a crowd – and it will be alleged he was subjected to savage levels of violence.

Meanwhile Jason Hennessy Senior was carried out of the restaurant and later died.

It’s the Prosecution's case that three of the accused men on trial murdered Tristan Sherry while three others committed violent disorder that night.

All six accused have pleaded not guilty.

Michael Andrecut (22) from Sheephill Avenue, Blanchardstown, David Amah (18) from Hazel Grove, Portrane Donabate and Noah Musueni (18) from Corduff Park, Blanchardstown have all pleaded not guilty to murder.

Jonas Kabangu (18) from Corduff Park, Blanchardstown, Brandon Hennessy (21) from Sheephill Avenue Blanchardstown and Diarmuid O’Brien (18) from Corduff Place, Blanchardstown have all pleaded not guilty to violent disorder.
