Three people have been arrested in connection with the murder of Wayne Whelan in Dublin last month.
At around 8pm on Monday November 18th, gardaí and emergency services were called to Mount Andrew Court in Lucan.
A car was discovered on fire, and the remains of a man were discovered inside.
He had been shot a number of times.
The body was later identified as that of 42-year-old Wayne Whelan.
Two men and a woman have today been arrested in connection with the investigation, and are now being held at Dublin Garda Stations
The men are being held under the provisions of section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007, while the woman is being detained under the provisions of section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939.
