Three people have died in a suspected murder-suicide at a house in County Kerry.

A woman in her 60s and a man in his 20s were found dead at a house in Lixnaw earlier this evening.

The body of a man in his 60s was then discovered at the back of the building.

They are believed to be from the same family.

Gardai said all three were found with gunshot wounds and a firearm was found at the scene.

Gardaí and emergency services remain at the scene which has been sealed off for a technical examination.

The state pathologist has been notified.

Investigators said they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the deaths at this time.
