Two men and a woman caught red-handed with over €1.3 million worth of heroin and cannabis have been jailed for between three and seven years.

They were caught following a major garda surveillance operation at various locations across Dublin in September 2012.

Before sentencing, Judge Carmel Stewart accepted that all three were just 'cogs in a much bigger machine' but she said the amount of drugs involved made it very serious.

Michael Doyle and Sarah Coll, both from Valeview Gardens in Finglas and Daniel Eivers of Glenshane Gardens in Tallaght pleaded guilty before Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.

The court heard how officers moved on the gang in the car park of a pub on September 25th last year.

On that occasion heroin worth over €680,000 was seized, and during follow-up searches a further €620,000 worth of heroin and cannabis were found.

Judge Stewart said the three were not 'impressionable teenagers' but mature adults who had made wrong decisions and brought shame on their extended families.

Eivers was then jailed for seven years, while Doyle and Coll were sent away for six years and three years respectively.
