Three men charged in connection to the seizure of €157 million cocaine seizure off the coast of Cork have been further remanded in custody.
The trio appeared at Mallow District Court today and are charged with conspiracy to possess and supply cocaine.
30-year-old Harold Estoesta from the Philippines was arrested last Wednesday on board the MV Matthew cargo ship and was remanded in custody after appearing at Midleton District Court last Thursday.
Judge Marion O’Leary today remanded him in custody for a further two weeks for DPP directions.
30-year-old Ukrainian Mykhailo Gavrky was also remanded for a further two weeks.
37-year-old Saeid Hassani from Iran was also remanded in custody and will appear before the court via video link on the 24th
Two others arrested in relation to the investigation are also due to appear before the court today.
