Three teenagers have been arrested for attempting to steal a car from outside a residential complex in Blanchardstown, Dublin 15.
At approximately 2:15am, Gardaí received a report of a group of men attempting to interfere with a parked car outside a residential complex on Snugsborough Road in Blanchardstown.
Gardaí arrived at the scene a short time later and intercepted a car matching the reported description which was attempting to exit the area.
Three male teenagers were arrested and detained at a Garda station in the Dublin Metropolitan Region.
Two of the arrested men, who are adults in their late teens, have since been charged and are expected to appear before Blanchardstown District Court at a later date.
The third arrested male, a juvenile, has been released pending a referral to the Garda Youth Diversion programme.
The car was removed from the scene for technical examination by the Divisional Scenes of Crime Unit.
Investigations are ongoing.
