Thousands are expected to turn out for the national demonstration on water charges tomorrow in Dublin city centre.

The protest will begin in York Street at 12.30pm and will march past the Dáil.

However, the Environment Minister says he's not going to get into "figure guessing" over tomorrow's national demonstration against the water charges.

Alan Kelly says he's "confident" the revised package for Irish Water is bringing the public with the Government.

Tens of thousands of people are expected to protest outside the Dáil tomorrow against the charge.

Minister Alan Kelly says they're entitled to demonstrate - but he's confident he has enough public support.

 

Meanwhile, TDs supporting tomorrow's march against water charges have welcomed calls from Russell Brand for workers to take a day off.

The TV host and comedian says Irish people should leave work to take part in the major demonstration at Leinster House tomorrow.

Organisers say the demonstration will continue until 7pm - and are encouraging people to attend after work.
