INMO protest
The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation is calling on members of the public to join them in a lunchtime protest on Wednesday, over what they describe as the appalling overcrowding of our hospitals.
The demonstration, which is being supported by SIPTU, the ICTU and other Trade Unions, will take place at noon, outside the Kildare street entrance of the Dáil.
Banking inquiry
The Oireachtas Banking Inquiry meets on Wednesday and is likely to consider whether David Drumm should be called as a witness.
The former CEO of Anglo Irish Bank could now be summoned to attend, after the end of his bankruptcy trial in the United States.
It is reported that moves are underway to have Mr Drumm extradited back to Ireland to face criminal charges.
