A status orange thunderstorm warning has been extended for 14 counties.
A nationwide alert expired at 9.00am on Monday, but a new warning is now in place.
Munster, Wexford, Carlow, Kilkenny, Laois, Offaly, Kildare, Wicklow and Dublin can expect thunderstorm activity until 10.00pm.

Met Éireann says due to the sporadic nature of the development, "not all areas will be affected."
Bit it adds that there will be heavy downpours of rain and hail in places.
There will also be flooding where heavy downpours occur.
