Most areas dry this morning and the day will have a mix of varying cloud and sunny spells.
Well scattered passing showers will occur too - especially across western counties where the odd heavy one is possible.
Highest temperatures will range from 17C in the northwest to 21C in the southeast and east.
Increased cloud and freshening southwest winds will bring rain to the west during the late evening.
TONIGHT
Tonight will be overcast and windy with a spell of rain in all areas.
The rain will be heavy for a time and accompanied by strong southerly winds, low cloud and mist – but a clearance will follow from the west towards morning.
It will be a mild night with minimum temperatures of 13C to 15C.
