Mainly dry for a time over eastern parts of the country this evening and early tonight with just isolated showers, but the showers will continue to be frequent and heavy in the west and southwest with an ongoing risk of hail and thunder there.

The showers will become more widespread again overnight.

Lows of 2 to 8 degrees in light to moderate southerly breezes, fresh to strong and gusty near south and southwest coasts.
