TikTok is to cut hundreds of jobs from its global workforce with a significant impact expected on Irish operations.
It comes as the video platform goes through a global restructuring project.
The company said it is seeking to re-deploy about 70% of the affected staff members across the world.
TikTok said it remains committed to Ireland and is still hiring for multiple other roles in Dublin.
"As we continue to deliver on our unwavering commitment to safeguard the TikTok community, we're undertaking a redesign of our Training and Quality team that will enable us to further enhance our quality assurance processes," the company said in a statement.
"Our priority is supporting affected employees through this transition to minimise the impact of the changes.
"Ireland remains a hugely important base for us, and we're continuing to hire for roles across our business here," it added.
TikTok established a Trust & Safety Hub in Dublin back in 2020 and employs around 3,000 staff here.
The firm has said two million people in Ireland tune into TikTok every month.
