A number of teachers are using social media to help students with their Leaving Certificate preparation.
TikTok has cemented its place as one of the most used apps in Ireland, but is also being used as a virtual classroom.
Eimear Fitzpatrick is a Dublin-based Irish teacher, and told Lunchtime Live why she decided to use the platform for learning.
"Initially I had started an educational page on Instagram, and I found it absolutely fantastic," she said.
"I wanted to branch out to make sure that students had access to the content that I was creating, and putting a lot of time and effort in, in order to make Gaeilge... more accessible to everyone - and hopefully more enjoyable as well.
"The papers for both Junior Cycle and Leaving Cert are quite accessible; it's just there's some little nuances that you maybe need to take note of.
"There is method and strategies that you can employ; it's just making sure that students have access to that information at the touch of a few buttons".
Ms Fitzpatrick said this approach is about "taking advantage of social media", which can also be helpful for oral exams.
"A lot of people they would say to me, 'I really want to practice, but I don't have anyone to practice with'" she said.
"So... I asked a cúpla ceist and then I asked the person who was watching to pause the video, answer out loud and then to unpause and go on to the next question.
"I actually had many people who are not sitting their Leaving Cert go up to me and say, 'God I gave that a go and I couldn't believe how much Gaeilge I still have'" she added.
'Exam tips'
Patrick Hickey teaches Leaving Cert history though TikTok. He said it's all about telling a story.
"When you think of social media - you've Stories on Instagram, we put our stories on TikTok as well - it really strikes a cord with people," he said.
"Very few people would tell you, 'I actually hate history', maybe they'd a bad experience of history in school but they all have an interest in it".
Mr Hickey said he's now focusing on the State exams.
"I'm doing a lot of 90-second videos just on exam tips," he said.
"I am a Leaving Cert history examiner, and I always say there's not a lot of Leaving Cert history correctors in the country.
"So a lot of students don't have an opportunity to ask an examiner questions or specific things.
"TikTok is perfect for sharing those little nuggets or little gems of information".
'Their opportunity to ask questions'
Tadgh O'Donovan, who teaches Science in secondary school, has said the platform is very helpful with one aspect in particular.
"I find the kids who benefit the most from the live lessons on TikTok are the kids who are shy and don't want to put their hand up in class," he said.
"They're afraid of kind of being identified as struggling in their subject.
"This is their opportunity to ask their questions... without being ashamed of it," he added.
