Richard Satchwell is due back in court again this morning, charged with the murder of his wife.
Tina Satchwell, aged 45, was reported missing by her husband in March 2017 and for six years her whereabouts was unknown.
In October last year, the case was upgraded to a murder inquiry after human remains were discovered in a house in Youghal.
Dental records confirmed the body was Ms Satchwell’s and her widower was charged with murder.
Gardaí presented a book of evidence to the Director of Public Prosecutions earlier this month and Mr Satchwell was further remanded in custody.
It is expected that today the judge will forward the case to the Central Criminal Court.
