Gardai are appealing for the help of the public in finding a missing Tipperary man.

James O'Dwyer (61) was last seen around 7am yesterday morning in the Ballywalter area of Mullinahone in South Tipperary.

He is described as 6-feet tall with sandy brown hair and when last spotted was wearing a navy jacket, green jumper, green wellingtons and black pants.

He left the farm where he was working to go check on animals yesterday morning and has not been seen since.

A search is underway, organised by gardai and Civil Defence.

Sergeant Tom O'Dwyer from Clonmel garda station spoke to Tipp FM News.
