An eleven-year-old girl who collected every GAA jersey in Ireland while battling leukaemia has launched a new appeal following her recent diagnosis.
Róisín Price from Co Tipperary was first diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL) in February 2015, when she was 3 years old, and fought the cancer.
Róisín was rediagnosed in 2020 and sought to collect a GAA jersey from every county in Ireland during her treatment.
Newstalk Technology Correspondent Jess Kelly put out the call on social media, and Róisín received every country jersey, as well as dozens of other special gifts from around the world – including signed jerseys, specially-designed cakes and teddy bears.
However, after being in remission for 18 months, in October of 2022, Róisín and her parents were informed the leukaemia had returned and would no longer be curable.
Please take a second to watch.
If you can make a card for Róisín at any stage over the next few days please send it to:

As Róisín’s 12th birthday approaches on the 31st of May, her family have launched a new campaign to celebrate her entering her teenage years.
In the leadup to her birthday, Róisín has asked people all around the world to send her a birthday card – especially handmade cards.
Róisín said: “I like unicorns, rainbows, fairies, everything Disney and funny jokes.”
Róisín has received cards and pictures from her classmates over the last few months, and she “truly enjoys everyone she gets.”
Cards can be sent to Jess Kelly, Marconi House, Digges Lane, Dublin 2, D02TD60 and will get to Róisín before her big celebration at the end of the month.
