Outbreaks of rain and drizzle becoming widespread this morning, turning heavy for a time before easing off this afternoon. Hill and coastal fog also. Brighter weather with just a few showers will gradually feed into the north and northwest this afternoon. However it will remain rather dull and damp elsewhere with some further spells of rain; windy on occasion too. Quite a range in temperatures this afternoon, with highest temperatures ranging 10 to 18 degrees Celsius - coolest over Ulster; mildest over Munster. Northwest winds will be fresh to strong and gusty for southern, western and southeastern counties. Further north of the country, northwest winds will be just light to moderate.
TONIGHT

Clearer spells elsewhere, with just isolated showers, extending to most other regions before morning. Lowest temperatures 6 to 10 degrees Celsius, with light northwest breezes, fresher through near Atlantic fringes.
