TODAY: Cool, blustery and very showery today. Strong and blustery west to northwest winds will persist. These will be strongest over Ulster, Connacht and down along the Atlantic Seaboard, where the showers will be heaviest and most frequent. There is a slight risk of thunder also. Occasional sunny spells will be best in the south and east. Top temperatures just 12 to 14 C.
TONIGHT: The winds will moderate tonight and showers will largely die out. But a spell of cloudy wet weather will push into Munster and Connacht later on. Lowest temperatures will be between 6 and 9 degrees.
