Variable cloud cover through today; sunshine at times but cloudier intervals also, with some mist or fog locally this morning. Overall a lot of dry weather is expected but there will be some showery rain - mainly occurring in the west and north early on today and again later this evening. Rain elsewhere will be fragmented, with small amounts of rain if any - much of the southeast escaping dry. Mild, with highest temperatures of 17 to 21 degrees Celsius; best values in the south and east. Becoming breezier this afternoon, with moderate southwest winds increasing fresh westerly.

Most areas will be dry tonight but there will be a few well scattered light passing showers across the country. Cooler than recent nights with lowest temperatures 7 to 11 degrees Celsius. A few mist patches with light westerly breezes.
