Today
Heavy rain will continue to affect parts of Ulster and north Leinster for a time this morning, but drier weather has already developed elsewhere. Later this morning a band of showers will develop along the west coast and will spread eastwards during the afternoon. Some of these showers will be heavy, but they will tend to ease off later this evening. A mild day with highs of 13 to 16 degrees in fresh and gusty southeasterly winds which will veer southerly later this morning and moderate.
Tonight
Any showers will largely die out by early tonight to give generally dry conditions. It will be mild with lows of 8 to 12 degrees in light to moderate southwest winds.
Tomorrow
A dry start to Saturday for much of the country but a band of heavy rain will push into the west coast during the morning. It will become very windy too with fresh and at times strong, gusty southerly winds, which will veer westerly later in the day. The rain will spread eastwards and will clear the east coast early in the evening, but showers will then move into the west coast. Highs of 12 to 14 degrees.
