The organisers of the All Together Now festival have pledged the issues at this year's festival won't be repeated next year.
This year marked the second edition of the festival in Co Waterford.
However, the first day of the weekend festival at Curraghmore Estate in Portlaw, Co Waterford was marred by reports of major traffic disruption while attempting to access the festival site.
Many festival-goers reported having to wait in traffic for hours before being able to get into the carpark.
In a statement today, the organisers confirmed a third event is being planned for next year - and there will be no capacity increase for 2020.
They said they are "deeply disappointed" that some areas of this year's festival fell short of expectations - adding that they are "truly sorry".

The organisers said: "The All Together Now team would like to say we are absolutely and fully committed to making sure that the issues that arose this year’s festival are not repeated.
"We have taken in every comment, every email and are carefully taking stock of where we need to improve.
"We have met and are working closely with An Garda Siochana and our other partner agencies to ensure that the traffic experienced travelling to this year’s festival does not happen again."
All Together Now 2020 is set to take place between July 31st and August 2nd - with early bird tickets for previous festival-goers now available ahead of the tickets going on general sale next Thursday.
