The lotto draw will take place later, after it was cancelled last night for the first time ever.
Thousands of people have been unable to buy lotto tickets today as 3,500 ticket machines have been out of action since this morning.
As a result, the 10 million euro jackpot had to be postponed.
The National Lottery have confirmed that there were technical problems with the machines following a 3G telecommunications service outage.
Tonight's draw will now take place tomorrow instead.
"To ensure all our players have an opportunity to play for the €10 million Lotto jackpot, the Lotto draw will now take place on Thursday 5 February 2015. Tickets already purchased for the midweek draw remain valid for this draw," the National Lottery said in a statement.
Tickets already purchased for the midweek draw will still be valid.
