Psychiatrists appearing before the Oireachtas health committee are differing on whether suicide should be included as a risk to the life of a woman in abortion legislation.

They've all agreed that suicide in pregnancy is rare but it does happen.

Figures from the UK show that in three years between 2006 and 2008 there were four suicides in two million pregnancies.

The Dublin suburb of Ranelagh's come to a standstill this evening as emergency services battle a massive fire.

Eleven units of Dublin Fire Brigade are fighting the flames, which appear to be coming from Wong's Chinese restaurant on Sandford Road.

The Road is closed between Marlborough Road and Sallymount Avenue.
