Two Former Directors of Anglo Irish Bank have appeared in court charged with facilitating unlawful loans to buy Anglo shares.

/> They are ex-Finance Director William McAteer of Auburn Villas, Rathgar in Dublin, and former Managing Director for Ireland, Patrick Whelan of Rachra, Coast Road, Malahide, in Dublin.

He’s accused of murdering 12 people, when he went on a shooting rampage at a cinema in Aurora (A-ROAR-A) on Friday, during a midnight screening of the latest Batman movie.
58 people were also injured in the attack – 11 are said to be critical.
Prosecutors say Mr. Holmes – could face the death penalty if found guilty.
Reporter Ian Woods is outside the court in Denver.
He says Mr. Holmes is due back in court next Monday where formal charges will be filed against him:

The child was with his father at the time.
The Aqua Zone will remain closed, while Gardai and the N.A.C carry out seperate investigations.

A Bank of Ireland branch in Central Dublin was forced to close earlier, after protestors entered the building.

/> A company spokesperson said a number of Occupy Dame Street members entered the O’Connell Street branch just after lunchtime – and left the premises at 4 o’clock this afternoon.
The bank says it closed the outlet to protect customers and staff.
It says it’s extremely unfortunate they had to close and inconvenience customers.
The branch will re-open as normal tomorrow morning.
