The Nations Cup competition is the feature today on day 3 of the annual Dublin Horse Show.

Thousands of people are in the RDS arena to see the world’s top 8 teams – including Ireland, Great Britain and Germany – compete for the Aga Khan trophy.

President Michael D. Higgins will be the guest of honour at the event which gets underway at 3pm.

Ireland’s Cian O’Connor is fresh from winning a bronze medal at the London 2012 Olympic Games.

He is hopeful of taking the gold today.
