The Tánaiste’s demanding silence from all Ministers on the contents of December’s budget.

Eamon Gilmore says the leaks they’ve had on a daily basis last year are not fair, especially to older people.

He made the comments surrounded by some members of the Cabinet and at the end of the Parliamentary Labour Party meeting in Kildare.

The British Prime Minister’s has apologised after a damning report into the Hillsborough disaster revealed evidence of a major cover up.

David Cameron says police tried to deflect responsibility for the disaster onto Liverpool fans, by exaggerating drunkenness and aggression.

It also concluded that lives could have been saved if emergency teams had responded differently.

David Cameron has told the Commons that relatives of those killed at Hillsborough are only now finding out the truth:

The bodies of Michael Coleman and Liam Coffey were found at a house in Kinsale last Sunday.

Gardai say they’re treating the investigation into their deaths as seriously as they would a murder inquiry.

The HSE has already issued a warning about the brown powder known as MANDY which contains MDMA (methylamphetamine) and PMMA (Para-Methoxymethamphetamine).

Superintendent Eddie McKeown from Bandon Garda station says its the combination of the chemicals which makes the drug so dangerous:

The Health Minister says he’s ‘deeply sorry’ for the way proposed HSE cuts were announced last week.

This evening, The Irish Hospital Consultants Association says it’s been flexible over work practices  and that it will be assessing a response it received from the HSE today on ‘points of fact’.

And Minister James Reilly’s apologised for failing to communicate to those who protested the cuts to HSE services last week;

The families of three British people shot dead in the Alps say they’re “heartbroken”, but “touched by the expressions of sympathy from all over the world”.

Saad al-Hilli, his wife and mother-in-law were murdered close to Lake Annecy last week.

Chief prosecutor Eric Maillaud will travel to the UK tomorrow and speaking through a translator, he says splitting the investigation across the Channel may slow the process:
