The Transport and Tourism Minister has hit out at Dublin City Council for its handling of the water crisis.
A third of the population remains on restricted pressure or without water every night due to problems are a reservoir in Co. Kildare.
It has still not been made clear what the problem is, other than that chemists have had to be brought in from the UK to assist with the problem.
Minister Leo Varadkar says it should have been handled much better.
His comments come a day after the Minister for the Environment Phil Hogan also slammed the Council.
Phil Hogan criticised it for the lack of notice it gave people in relation to planned restrictions to the water supply in the capital.
He says the Council should have informed residents sooner so people could have prepared themselves better.
"I think that that is something that Dublin City Council should learn some from this experience; we shouldn't hear about it on the media...that we have a problem" he said.
"There should be a communication plan in place, and that didn't happen on this occasion to the extent that I would wish".
"I've been speaking to Dublin City Council about this and hopefully they will learn a lesson from that".
"And all local authorities should learn the same lesson" he added.
