The Immigrant Council of Ireland says the Government needs to do more to assist victims of trafficking.

Its as new figures from the Department of Justice show that 75 per cent of human trafficking investigations here involve sexual exploitation.

Over the past 16 months a total of 51 human trafficking investigations have been launched, with 37 for alleged sexual exploitation.
