The trial of a 42-year-old architect accused of murdering Dublin childcare worker Elaine O'Hara is due to begin this morning.

Graham Dwyer with an address at Kerrymount Close, Foxrock is to appear before the Central Criminal Court.

Having been warned that this trial may not suit 'particularly squeamish' people, a jury was sworn in on Monday for the trial of Graham Dwyer.

The 42-year-old father denies murdering Elaine O'Hara at Killakee, Rathfarnham on August 22nd 2012.

Remains were found a year after she went missing.

The case, which is due to last up to two months, was supposed to get underway on Tuesday but was beset by a last minute delay.

Today senior counsel for the prosecution Sean Guerin is expected to open the case to the jury by giving a road map of the evidence they can expect to hear in the coming weeks.
