Mick Wallace’s youngest son has died at the age of 30.
Former Wexford FC player Joe Barry Wallace was one of the former MEP’s four children.
Reports say he died in Tallaght Hospital in Dublin on Thursday following a short illness.
Wexford FC led tributes to Mr Wallace saying they were "desperately saddened" to hear of his passing.
We are desperately saddened to hear of the passing of our former player and son of Mick, Joe Barry Wallace.

"We send our deepest sympathies to the Wallace family and all of his friends and clubmates," the club said online.
Ireland South MEP Seán Kelly said it was "shocking news".
He described Mr Wallace as a 'very bright and talented young man' offering 'sincerest sympathy to Mick and all the family.
Independent Wexford TD Verona Murphy said she was "very saddened to hear the news".
"My deepest, most sincere sympathy to the Barry and Wallace families on your immense loss and all of his friends and clubmates," she wrote on Facebook.
Mr Wallace will be laid to rest on Saturday.
