There are conflicting fortunes for Irish colleges in the latest Times Higher Education World Rankings.

Trinity College, seen as Ireland's flagship University, has dropped from 110th position last year to 129 this year.

It is still the top-ranked Irish college in the rankings.

University College Cork has jumped up from 301st position to 276.

No Irish third level institutions are among the top 100.
