The IMF says it will continue to make routine visits to Ireland in the years after it exits the bailout. The fund says it will visit Ireland every six months to give its advice on Irish financial policies.
It says it is part of its usual operations to make sure Ireland repays the €22 billion it has borrowed under the bailout deal.
Mission Director Craig Beaumont says it is nothing unusual that the IMF would keep coming to Ireland once the bailout has ended.
Meanwhile the Taoiseach has given the clearest signal yet that Ireland will exit the bailout on December 15th without taking a precautionary credit line.
Enda Kenny was speaking after meeting Italian Prime Minister in Dublin where the two men discussed the issue.
Enrico Letta says December 16th will be a new era in Dublin, while the Taoiseach says the final bailout review by the Troika was historic.
Mr. Kenny gave the strongest hint yet we will not take a safety net on exiting the bailout.
