The Troika is urging the government to open up competition in areas such as the legal sector and to finalise the sale of State assets.

The European Commission, International Monetary Fund (IMF) and European Central Bank (ECB) has now concluded its 10th review of the bailout.

It says while the bailout conditions have all been met again and the economic signs are continuing to look positive that challenges remain.

Among these it says is the strict implementation of the Budget and especially in the health sector.

And the Troika staff reports say that opening up competition in sheltered sectors such as legal services needs to be done. It is also calling for a conclusion to the disposal of state assets to that job creating investment projects can go ahead.

The Troika says after a slow start banks are beginning to address mortgage arrears but this needs to be monitored closely.

The statement also notes that discussions took place on preparations for an exit from the bailout.

Pearse Doherty of Sinn Féin says the government put forward the initial proposal to dispose of state assets.
