Irish politicians with love on their minds will be in for a treat next week.

TD's and Senators will be able to avail of a specially themed - and specially priced - Valentine's Day meal.

Truffles, red roses and a four course meal are on offer to elected representatives for 25 euro at the members' restaurant in Leinster House.

For an extra 5 euro, the meal can be upgraded to include a glass of sparkling wine.

It's the first time management has tried the initiative.
