Donald Trump has arrived in New York City ahead of his indictment on Tuesday.
The exact charges are not yet known but relate to allegations that he paid hush money to porn star Stormy Daniels during the 2016 Presidential Election.
Ms Daniels claims that she and Mr Trump had sex in 2006 and that she was paid $130,000 by his lawyer in order to keep quiet about it.
Mr Trump denies the allegation and has described legal proceedings as a “witch hunt” against him.
The 45th President will spend the night at Trump Tower on 5th Avenue and will turn himself in to the Manhattan District Attorney's office on Tuesday afternoon.
Afterwards, he will fly home to Florida and is expected to address supporters there.
Mr Trump is the first US President to face criminal charges in the United States - although President Nixon avoided prosecution for his role in Watergate thanks to a “full, free and absolute pardon” from his successor President Ford.
