A giant balloon of a baby Donald Trump has been slashed and deflated after it turned up in the US state of Alabama.
It made an appearance during the US president's trip to watch a university football game.
Police in the city of Tuscaloosa said a 32-year-old man had been arrested for criminal mischief following the incident.
Officers alleged that local man Hoyt Hutchinson is alleged to have cut into the balloon before attempting to flee the area, before being caught and arrested.
Local media outlet WBRC reported that an online campaign had raised $5,000 in less than 12 hours to bring the balloon to the area.
Donald and Melania Trump yesterday attended the Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa for the football game against Louisiana State and Alabama.
He received cheers on his arrival at the stadium, in contrast to the boos received while attending a World Series baseball game in Washington last month.
The orange, nappy-clad 'Trump baby' inflatable caricature is often taken to events as a way of protesting against the US president.
A balloon was initially crowdfunded ahead of Mr Trump's visit to the UK in 2018, with those behind the project describing it as a "six meter high orange, inflatable baby with a malevolent face and tiny hands".
Having since made a number of trips to different countries, the balloon was brought to Dublin in June during Mr Trump's first visit to Ireland as US president.
