Donald Trump has been found guilty on all counts of falsifying business records after so-called hush money payments were made to former porn star Stormy Daniels.
The jury concluded Trump falsified the records to conceal payments to the former porn star in exchange for her silence during his successful 2016 campaign for US President.
Sentencing will take place on July 11th and the judge has the option of sending the former President to jail.
All charges were class E felonies - the lowest category of felony in New York State - but each carries the possibility of four years behind bars.
Alternatively, the judge could simply impose probation on Trump.
'Mother Teresa could not beat these charges'
Prior to the verdict, Trump denounced the process as "rigged" against him.
“Listening to the charges from the judge - as you know very conflicted and corrupt because of the confliction, very, very corrupt,” he lamented.
“Mother Teresa could not beat these charges, these charges are rigged, the whole thing is rigged, the whole country’s a mess.”
Mr Trump has also faces charges in three other trials in which he is accused of attempting to overthrow the Government, overturn his defeat in the State of Georgia and mishandling classified documents.
He denies all charges.
