A damp and misty start in many areas this morning but drier and brighter weather will extend quickly to south-western and western counties.
It will then be largely dry across Munster and Connacht with sunny spells and just isolated showers.
However, it will stay mostly cloudy across Ulster and Leinster with showery rain, gradually clearing eastwards later in the day.
Highest temperatures of 11C to 15C in moderate southwesterly breezes.
TONIGHT
It will be dry across the bulk of the country overnight with clear spells and just a few isolated showers.
Rather chilly with lowest temperatures of 2C to 5C in light west or southwest breezes.
