Police in England are continuing their hunt for a lion in Essex despite the fact that there have been no confirmed sightings since yesterday.

A couple who claim to have spotted the lion on the loose in Essex say they’re convinced it’s not a hoax.

Police say they’re treating the reported sightings seriously and are urging people in St Osyth near Clacton to be cautious.

An Essex Lion parody account has already been set up on Twitter and in just 14 hours @essexlion has amassed over 33,000 followers.
