Twitter is testing out a new feature to try and encourage users to read articles before they share them.
The company said android users who share an article they haven’t opened yet may be asked if they want to read it first.
“Sharing an article can spark conversation, so you may want to read it before you Tweet it,” the company wrote.
“To help promote informed discussion, we're testing a new prompt on Android – when you Retweet an article that you haven't opened on Twitter, we may ask if you'd like to open it first.”

It is the latest measure Twitter has taken to affect the discourse on the app. In May, the company rolled out new features that let people select who can reply to their tweets.
It also beefed up its fact-checking role, notably adding a warning label to a tweet posted by Us President Donald Trump.
