The London Olympics got off to a shaky start yesterday.
It’s after organisers of the event had to apologise to North Korea’s women’s football team – after they accidentally raised the flag for South Korea on the big screen in the stadium before their match last night against Colombia.
The games was delayed for an hour as a result – as the players walked off the pitch in disgust.
However, it didn’t seem to upset them too much, as the North Korean ladies went on to win the game 2 – nil.
Meanwhile, an Olympic athlete has asked for asylum in the UK.
Few details have been released, but it’s understood the man from a country in east Africa turned up at a police station in Leeds on Tuesday.
The case has been passed to the UK Border Agency.
