Cannabis plants worth around €160,000 have been seized in Thurles in Co. Tipperary. They were found when Gardai searched a premises at Moyne.
It is part of an on-going investigation into the cultivation and sale and supply of cannabis in the Thurles area.
A 52-year-old man was arrested at the scene. He is being questioned at Templemore Garda Station under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act . In a follow-up operation a 32-year-old man was also detained.
He is being held at Thurles Garda Station also under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act.
The gardai say investigations are continuing.
