Two men have been arrested following the hijacking of a delivery van in the Ladybrook Park area of Belfast this morning.

The driver was approached by a number of men while he was parked at around 6:35am.

The PSNI say he was threatened with a knife and forced to hand over the keys. The men then made off in the van.

The vehicle was later spotted in Mount Alverno and was pursued by police.

Two men - aged 31 and 19 - were detained in the Glenside Road area.

The van has been seized for examination.

The PSNI is appealing for witnesses or anyone who can assist them to come forward.
