Multiple cars were set on fire in Tallaght, Co Dublin, yesterday morning. 

Gardaí arrested two men in connection with public order, criminal damage and dangerous driving incidents between Tallaght and the M50 southbound. 

Several cars were set on fire near Brookfield Road in Tallaght. 

Public order units were deployed to the scene of the incident and no injuries were reported. 

During an incident of dangerous driving, an attempt to ram an official Garda vehicle occurred. 

The offending car was located in the Wicklow area with the assistance of the Air Support Unit and Public Order Unit. 

The two men were arrested and are currently detained at a Garda station in the Dublin area. 

Investigations are ongoing.
