Two people have been arrested by Gardaí investigating the Monaghan horror crash that saw two teenage girls killed on their way to a debs night celebration in July.
17-year-old Kiea McCann and 16-year-old Dlava Mohamed died after the car they were travelling in left the road and hit a tree on the N54 in Legnakelly on Monday, July 31st.
The teenagers were on their way to Largy College debs as part of a convoy and family and friends were first at the scene.
The 60-year-old driver of the car was also seriously injured in the crash alongside two other teenagers.
This morning, Gardaí investigating the crash arrested two men aged in their 60s and 40s.
They are being held at a Garda station in county Monaghan.
The Garda investigation is ongoing.
